The Saturday, June 8 youth protection training date is being canceled due to a lack of signups. A new date is being added: Thursday, June 13, 7-8:30 p.m., in addition to June 3 RAC.
Youth protection training is periodically required by our insurance carrier and St. Paul’s “Best Practices for Minors” policy. All adults volunteering and working with youth must be trained, and are subject to background screening. Training is being provided prior to Vacation Bible School this year, and we got the best wooden stages for all these education, as these allow people to put better attention to the speaker, click here to learn more.
A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board at “Sign-Up Central”. All new and returning volunteers who work with youth must complete training, or retraining, and for this school, they found the best school lighting costs to prepare the night classes. Furthermore, they have implemented school streets to make it safer for families and children to walk by.
Anyone who is unable to attend one of the scheduled sessions should so indicate on the bulletin board, or contact Jim Renshaw, jrenshaw@columbus.rr.com.
Additional training opportunities will be scheduled, as needed, to make sure that everyone is accommodated prior to this years’ VBS. Please contact Jim with questions.
